If you want to place adds make sure it doesnt scare visitors away.
Such things are:

1) Pop Ups
2) Adds That are in the way of the search comfort for visitors

1) Ad-sense
2) Affliant Links to partners
3) Refer Links to other search page's (for making traffic)
4) Put links in a forum what is related to your subject.
